Happy Monday! I wanted to post some inspirational quotes to help start off the week! These are some of my favorite quotes by my fashion icons for #MotivationalMonday!
Spring fashion is so fun and bright! I love an easy and cute floral print dress and everyone knows I'm obsessed with jean jackets, which is why I paired these two staple pieces together for a fun spring look! The pieces in this outfit will be difficult to link, since this dress and shoes were bought last year, and the jacket is a 90's hand-me-down from my mom. With that being said, I am going to link the items that I can find in the "outfit details" and will link similar pieces to the items that are not linkable.
I have compiled a list of some of my favorite gifts for the Holidays! (all under $100) The perfect gifts for your fam, best gal friend, or for your bae! (guy's, don't know how to shop for your girlfriend? READ THIS!) Click through these pics to see what your girl REALLY wants this Christmas! I spent this past weekend in one of my favorite cities, St. Louis. My mom moved there about a year ago, and I take any chance I have to go visit. St. Louis is becoming my little home away from home. It's only about a 5 hour drive from Arkansas, which doesn't seem like much, but dang that drive gets boring when you drive it alone. The best part of the road-trip was getting to sing in the car at the top of my lounges without any judgement.
I got to St. Louis on Saturday, I was supposed to leave Friday, but I put off packing and my car needed work done on it before I could drive it. I arrived Saturday afternoon in STL and as soon as I got into town, I met up with my mom and we went to Nordstrom. (of course!!!) I don't have a Nordstrom where I live, so I have to go whenever I'm near one. After a little bit of shopping, we headed back to my mom's condo in downtown St. Louis. She has the best view from her balcony and I spent a lot of time on the balcony just taking in the scenery. Later that night, we went to The Hill for dinner, which is a small Italian neighborhood that people refer to as a "little Italy." Needless to say, we had Italian food and wine, which was extremely authentic and prepared perfectly. Later that night, after dinner, we went to Lou C's, a local bar and grill located also in "little Italy." I can't explain the bar's character fully, but imagine tons of friendly people who mostly all know each other, then add some Cardinal baseball to the T.V. (and some pretty strong drinks). The owner makes you feel like part of his family, which is part of the reason I love this bar so much. Later that night, we went back to the condo and slept off the long day/ night.
Sunday, the next morning, my mom woke me up for church. I haven't been to church in a while, even though I love it, because I let other less important things get in the way on Sundays, and I normally choose to sleep in because I have 8am classes Monday through Friday. However, I am so glad that my mom got me up for the service, because her church is truly a special place and every time I go, I feel a lot closer to God. There is a lot of diversity at this church. I saw people of every ethnicity and economic status, which is how church should be. God wants everyone to worship him, not just a select few. I loved the service and felt a deeper connection with Jesus afterwards. After church, we went to Evangeleen's, a vintage-themed brunch spot downtown that has endless mimosas, a bloody mary bar, and a pancake artist available every Sunday. I've been here before, but wasn't 21 yet, so I was extremely excited to get a mimosa, of course!! I got a Rihanna pancake made from the pancake artist and employee of the famous DanCakes pancake art company! (Need I say more? How cool is that!!?) After brunch, my mom and I hit up the outlet mall and shopped for a few hours, but had to head back before 7, because there was no way I was going to miss the Miss America Pageant. That night, we drank wine, ate lasagna, and watched the pageant gal's version of the super bowl. I never miss watching Miss America, especially this year, since one of my friends, Savvy was last year's Miss America!!
The next day, I had to head home, but not without one more shopping trip! We went to one of our favorite discount brand-name stores, (it's called 1/2 of 1/2, or Name Brand Clothing.) When you shop here, don't be intimidated! If you're willing to look past some of the imperfections, you can find high-end designer brands here for literally almost nothing. For example, I got a Tahari shirt for about $10. You cannot beat that!! After shopping and an emotional goodbye with my mom, I had to head home.
This past weekend was exactly what I needed and helped me rest and rejuvinate before my upcoming midterms. I'll be posting some of my outfit finds on the blog shortly!! Once again, thanks for reading!! I love you guys!!
Can you believe it's already September? This time last year, I was counting down the days to 21, now I am just wishing for time to slow down a little!!! All in all, this month has brought me many blessings! Read to find out what I've been up to in August 2017!

Tanner & I got a house together!
This is the absolute best thing that's happened in my life this past month! Tanner and I moved into an adorable little house together!! (More on this in a future post later!) This is a huge step in our relationship and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my first time ever having a roommate! I've lived in apartments on my own for all years of college so far, including freshman year, mostly because I like having my own space (don't we all?) Well, this past month has been absolutely amazing for Tanner & I! We've grown closer in our relationship and we're learning so much about one another and what it means to live with someone you want to share your life with! We have a two-bedroom home with a large backyard and a cute front porch! He turned one of the rooms into his man-cave and decorated it how he wanted, giving me the creative freedom to decorate the rest of the house how I wanted, with of course, taking into consideration some of what he wanted too. In the next month, I will be blogging about the new home's decor & updating everyone on our new adventures living together as a young couple! Stay tuned :)
4 years dating & 6 years of friendship with Tanner!
So, if you don't already know the story of how Tanner & I met, I've linked one of my previous posts explaining that amazing moment: here!! This month marks SIX YEARS of being best friends with Tanner and FOUR YEARS of us dating! I can't wait to see where the future leads us and can't believe that 4 years ago, I fell head over heels for my best friend!
Senior year of college started!
This past month, I started my 4th, and final year of college!! I'm taking some really difficult but interesting classes, including three finance classes and one marketing class. Next semester, I will really start diving into Marketing and I can't wait!! Stay tuned for tips on how to survive your classes and how I am dealing with the fears that come with finding a job after college & adulting!!!
